Inter is eyeing Fiorentina's defender Michael Kayode for the upcoming summer transfer window. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this development.

The right-back of the Italian youth national team is being considered as the primary candidate to replace Denzel Dumfries if he fails to sign a new deal with the club.

It's worth noting that Dumfries' contract with Inter expires in June 2025, and negotiations for a new agreement are currently on hold. In such a scenario, the Dutchman could depart from Giuseppe Meazza as early as this summer.

Inter has been monitoring Kayode throughout the season and is preparing to meet with the representatives of the defender. The promising right-back is also being eyed by Arsenal as a potential transfer target. He recently extended his contract with Fiorentina until June 2028.

In the current season, the 19-year-old Kayode has featured in 28 matches across all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists.

Earlier reports indicated that Inter aims to lure away a midfielder from Genoa, challenging Juventus for his signature.
