Inter Milan is on the verge of extending the contract with head coach Simone Inzaghi. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inzaghi will sign a new contract with the Italian champions in the coming days.
Under the new agreement, the coach will earn €6.5 million per year plus bonuses, making him the highest-paid coach in Serie A. The new deal will be valid until the summer of 2026.
Inzaghi's current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
Simone Inzaghi has been at the helm of Inter since 2021. In the 2023/24 season, the Milan club won the Italian championship. In the Champions League, the Nerazzurri were eliminated in the round of 16.
At the end of May, Inter acquired new owners. The club is now owned by Oaktree Capital.
Notably, Inter has undergone a squad overhaul this summer, with five players leaving the team.
