Inter Miami won their first match of the season with the help of Messi and Suarez

On the night of February 21-22, the new MLS regular season kicked off in the United States. In the inaugural match, the star-studded Inter Miami secured a home victory over Real Salt Lake.

All four stars of Inter Miami appeared in the starting lineup. Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba played the entire match, Sergio Busquets was substituted in the 85th minute, and Luis Suarez in the 90th minute.

Messi and Suarez were unable to score, but both contributed with assists. The opening goal in the 39th minute came from a pass by the Ballon d'Or holder, Robert Taylor, and in the 83rd minute, a splendid combination involving Messi culminated in an assist from Luis Suarez to Diego Gomez.

The first round of the MLS will continue on February 24 and 25.

Inter Miami's next match will be on February 26, away against the Los Angeles Galaxy.
