Inter's goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, has departed the team's training camp due to the flu, as reported by Football-Italia.

The Swiss goalkeeper will not accompany the team for their upcoming Serie A match against Lecce, scheduled for Sunday, February 25.

It is expected that Emil Audero will step into the Nerazzurri's goalposts in Sommer's absence. This will mark his Serie A debut for Inter, having only played two matches for the club in the current season's Champions League and Coppa Italia.

Additionally, Marcus Thuram will miss the match against Lecce due to an injury sustained in the Champions League Round of 16 match against Atlético (1:0).

At 35 years old, Sommer is Inter's undisputed first-choice goalkeeper. In the current season, he has featured in 32 matches across all competitions, conceding 14 goals. Out of these appearances, Sommer has kept a clean sheet in 21 matches.

Inter comfortably leads the Serie A table, holding a nine-point advantage over Juventus, with one game in hand.
