Inter are close to extending the contract of their leader

The flight to Madrid for the return leg against Atlético will be marked not only by the game itself, but also by negotiations on Inter's contract extension with a leading player.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, we are talking about Lautaro Maritnez, whose agent will arrive in the Spanish capital for talks with the Nerazzurri later this week.

Both parties are interested in extending their co-operation, but specifics on the new contract, such as salary and the length of the agreement, are not yet available and are worth determining.

Despite the fact that the Argentine's current contract is valid until 2026 and there is no rush, the Giuseppe Meazza would like to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Inter are reportedly ready to offer Martinez a one-year salary of eight million euros and bonuses, although the player himself insists on a sum closer to 10 million euros.
