Inter Milan have appointed a new president after a change of ownership.

Beppe Marota has been appointed as the new president of the Nerazzurri, having proven himself with successful work at the Milan club as general director.

Marotta has turned Inter into a successful project. During Beppe's six years in charge, the club won the Italian Championship and the Italian Cup twice each, and reached the final of the 2022/23 Champions League.

At the end of May Inter got new owners. The club was transferred to the ownership of the company Oaktree Capital.

The fact is that Inter president Steven Zhang has to repay a €395 million loan to Oaktree Capital Management, but he was unable to do so. Thus, the American company took control of the Milan club.

By the way, Inter want to extend coach Simone Inzaghi's contract with an increased salary. Inter have offered Inzaghi a two-year contract extension with an option to extend for another year. His current contract runs until the summer of 2025.
