Injury Worry for Southampton as Paul Onuachu Doubtful vs Spurs

Paul Onuachu, Southampton's leading scorer, may miss their vital Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
The Nigerian forward, who scored the only goal for the Saints before being replaced in the 89th minute, suffered an ankle injury during Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
Speaking at Friday night’s press conference, coach Ivan Juric provided an update: "Paul has an ankle issue. Today, he didn't train, but we'll see tomorrow."
The injury puts Onuachu’s availability for the trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in serious doubt.
Key Player for Southampton
With four goals in 20 league games this season, more than any other player in the team, Onuachu has been an important member of the Saints.
Losing their best scorer before the crucial match in round 30 of the Premier League might be a huge blow for Southampton, who are battling to move up the standings.
