Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, stated in a press conference ahead of the match against Mallorca that the club is not considering signing a new center-back during the winter transfer window.

According to Ancelotti, he relies on Antonio Rudiger and Nacho Fernandez in that position until the end of the season. Additionally, Oreljen Tchouameni, a nominal central midfielder, and right-back Dani Carvajal can play in the center of defense.

At the beginning of the season, Real Madrid lost their main center-back, Eder Militao, due to a cruciate ligament injury. Before the New Year, a similar severe injury occurred to David Alaba.

Ancelotti also mentioned that Vinicius Junior, Arda Guler, and Dani Carvajal have recovered from injuries and are ready to play tomorrow.

After 18 rounds, Real Madrid is leading La Liga with 45 points.
