Real has officially announced a new contract with Ancelotti

Real Madrid has officially announced the contract extension with the head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, on their official website. The agreement with the 64-year-old Italian is now extended until the summer of 2026.

His previous contract was set to expire after the conclusion of the current season. It was speculated that in the summer of 2024, he would take charge of the Brazilian national team, with his position at Real Madrid expected to be filled by Xabi Alonso.

Despite a significant number of injuries at the start of the season, Real Madrid managed to finish 2023 in the top position in La Liga. However, the Madrid side leads Girona only on additional indicators.

Ancelotti took over Real Madrid for the second time in the summer of 2021, having previously coached Los Blancos from 2013 to 2015. Under his guidance, Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League twice, secured one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey titles, and two Club World Cup championships.
