Incredible loyalty! PSG prepare massive contract for Kvaratskhelia despite devastating injury
Paris Saint-Germain are preparing an extraordinary show of faith in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia! Despite the Georgian superstar suffering a devastating knee injury, the European champions reportedly want to reward him with a huge new contract.
Details: According to The Touchline, citing journalist Fabrice Hawkins, PSG have already begun negotiations to extend Kvaratskhelia's contract until 2032. The Parisian club reportedly want to make the 25-year-old one of their highest-paid players while maintaining their established wage structure. Remarkably, the discussions are continuing despite the serious injury he suffered against Barcelona. No agreement has been officially announced, and the proposed salary remains undisclosed.
Kvaratskhelia tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during PSG's 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona on October 20. The Georgian needed assistance leaving the pitch and is expected to undergo surgery. His recovery could take several months, potentially ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Instead of reconsidering their investment, PSG appear determined to build their future around the winger. His current contract runs until 2029, but a new agreement would secure his services for another three years. The proposed salary increase also reflects his importance to Luis Enrique's project.
Kvaratskhelia has become one of the club's biggest stars since arriving from Napoli in January 2025. His performances helped PSG secure European success, and he was named the Champions League's best player for the 2025/26 season after recording ten goals and six assists.
It's worth noting that negotiations are still at an early stage. If completed, the contract until 2032 would represent a major commitment to Kvaratskhelia during one of the most difficult periods of his career.
Reminder: Official: Kvaratskhelia's injury severity revealed.
