Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt has secured a historic victory in European competition.

Details: Bodø/Glimt claimed their first-ever win over an English side in the Champions League, beating Manchester City 3-1 in the seventh round. Prior to this, the Norwegians had lost twice to Arsenal in the 2022/23 Europa League (0-3 and 0-1), were defeated by Manchester United in the 2024/25 Europa League group stage (2-3), and suffered two losses to Tottenham in the 2024/25 Europa League semifinals (1-3 and 0-2).

For Bodø/Glimt, Kasper Høgh netted a brace, while Jens Petter Hauge added another goal. Manchester City could only respond with a precise strike from Rayan Cherki, but that didn't stop the Norwegian side from celebrating a truly historic win.

As a result, the Norwegian club climbed to 26th place in the standings, slightly boosting their chances of advancing to the playoffs. However, they must defeat Atlético Madrid in the next round to keep their hopes alive. Manchester City, meanwhile, sits in 7th place and has already secured a playoff berth. In the upcoming round, the Citizens will face Turkish side Galatasaray.

Reminder: Bodø/Glimt shocked Manchester City by scoring an unbelievable third goal.
