"In an ideal world, Joshua and Fury would win," Eddie Hearn on potential future plans
Promoter Eddie Hearn has shared his future plans regarding the fights he hopes to see.
In an interview with Boxing News Online, the Briton revealed that in an ideal scenario, both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury would win their respective bouts and then have two fights for the undisputed world title.
"The most wonderful thing about September 21 is that Turki will look at Wembley and simply say 'wow.' He will be eager to organize another one.
In an ideal world—though this is not something I have discussed with him—AJ would win, Fury would win, and then we would have two fights next year for the undisputed title: one in Riyadh and one at Wembley. But again, this is just my hope; no directives from Turki," said Hearn.
The fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia, while Joshua's bout against Dubois will take place soon, on September 21.
It was previously reported that London’s Wembley Stadium could be specially expanded for the Dubois vs. Joshua fight. The organizers aim to set a record.
