In a new role: Atlético Madrid's Conor Gallagher sings Ed Sheeran song
Atlético Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher showcased a new side of himself by taking the stage to perform a song by his compatriot Ed Sheeran, reports Daily Mail.
Gallagher joined musicians and singers on stage to perform Sheeran’s hit Shape of You. Dressed in jeans, a white T-shirt, and a leather jacket, he appeared confident as he sang.
This performance was part of a team project organized in collaboration with the Mahou Cinco Estrellas brewery. The initiative aims to discover musical talents, with well-known footballers participating to encourage people to register for the contest.
As part of the initiative, aspiring musicians will upload their videos via Atlético’s website, and the club, together with Mahou, will later select winners. The chosen artists will be invited to a studio to record a track and will also have the opportunity to perform at Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
Gallagher joined Atlético Madrid last summer from Chelsea in a transfer worth £34 million, signing a five-year contract.
