Tottenham's versatile defender Emerson Royal has confirmed interest from AC Milan.

The Brazilian national team defender expressed his pride regarding the Rossoneri's interest.

“Yes, I know that Milan has inquired about me with Tottenham. I am proud of this; Milan is a great club. We’ll see what happens with Milan. I am just happy to know they are interested in me,” the player was quoted as saying by Fabrizio Romano.

Previously, it was reported that Milan intends to strengthen the right flank of their defense and, to this end, the Rossoneri have been actively monitoring the English Premier League market, identifying several potential targets for future signings.

In the concluded season, the 25-year-old Royal played 24 matches in all competitions for Spurs and scored one goal. He has been with the London club since 2021, having transferred from Barcelona.
