Erling Haaland recently extended his contract with Manchester City for 9.5 years and has now shared his thoughts on the new deal.
Details: The Norwegian striker was asked about the new contract and whether he had closed the door on potential moves to Barcelona or Real Madrid. Haaland, however, expressed his happiness with the agreement and his desire to spend many years at the club.
Quote: "I just signed a 9.5-year deal, and of course, I'm happy about it! I'm very pleased with my decision and look forward to spending many years at Man City," the striker said.
Interestingly, the team's head coach, Pep Guardiola, also shared his reaction to the news. He admitted that he initially couldn’t believe it when sporting director Txiki Begiristain informed him of the extension.
Reminder: Under his new contract, Haaland will earn £500,000 per week.
