"I'm being persecuted for this". Cucurella on the attitude towards him in England after Euro final
Chelsea and Spain defender Marc Cucurella shared his thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of being a European champion in England.
Details: The Chelsea star revealed that rival fans and Premier League players have been targeting him since Spain's victory over England in the Euro 2024 final.
Quote: "Being a European champion is a historic event. It's a great honor, and it will always be with you. Rival fans and players persecute me, especially when we play away games. That's fine;
Spain beat England in the Euro final. I was involved in scoring against them, playing on their home turf... It's understandable; they're still hurt from that defeat," Cucurella told Metro.
Reminder: In the Euro 2024 final, Spain defeated England 2-1. Cucurella played a significant role in the success of La Furia Roja.
