La Liga, under the leadership of Javier Tebas, has announced the launch of an unusual campaign to combat illegal football broadcasts.

Details: According to Cope, La Liga is planning to pay a €50 reward to any user who reports a bar or restaurant illegally screening matches. Complaints can be filed through a special anonymous portal, with photo or video evidence of the violation required.

The verification process is surprisingly simple: viewers just need to glance at the corner of the TV screen during the match. Licensed venues must display the letter “B” (for bars) or “A” (for betting shops) in the corner. If the marking is missing, the broadcast is being shown illegally. The first four people whose complaints about a particular venue are validated will receive the promised cash reward.

The campaign has its limits: La Liga plans to pay rewards only for the first 1,000 confirmed complaints. The main goal of the initiative is to protect business owners who honestly pay for licenses and to crack down on audiovisual piracy, which harms clubs. The organization emphasizes that the complaint process is completely confidential and takes just a few seconds.

Reminder: Gary Lineker fears Atlético star Julián Álvarez’s move to Arsenal.
