Ilan Kebbal has big dreams for Algeria at the World Cup

The Algerian international spoke about the Fennecs’ goals on the world stage.

Aware of the competition’s difficulty, Kebbal nevertheless believes that African teams now have what it takes to compete with the world’s top football nations. The Algerian midfielder points in particular to Morocco’s historic achievement at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the Atlas Lions reached the semi-finals. In an interview with winwinallsports, Ilan Kebbal said he firmly believes in the Fennecs’ ability to make history in their own right.

We know that the World Cup is a very tough competition. Naturally, we hope to go as far as possible. If Morocco managed to do it, that means other African teams can do it too, such as Senegal or Algeria. Why couldn’t we do it as well? The aim is to return home as late as possible and to stay at the World Cup for as long as possible.

In the group stage of the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, Algeria will face Argentina, Austria and Jordan in Group J.
