On May 14, 2024, Manchester City faced Tottenham away and clinched a 2-0 victory, taking a decisive step towards yet another league title. But this triumph could have slipped away if not for a crucial save by the Citizens' backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, who, late in the match with the score at 1-0, managed to deny Son Heung-min in a one-on-one showdown.
Guardiola's reaction to that moment was nothing short of epic. As Son broke through towards City's goal, the Spaniard grabbed his head and collapsed onto the turf in the technical area, only getting back to his feet after Ortega rescued his team.
A year later, City's official account decided to relive this moment, captioning it, "Iconic. One year ago today." The throwback struck a chord with City fans, who showered it with over 320,000 likes and nearly 900 comments.
