Ibrahim Mbaye finds the back of the net again in Ligue 1
The Senegalese striker made the most of his first start since February to make a name for himself.
Having been left on the bench since his return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Ibrahim Mbaye returned to the Paris Saint-Germain starting line-up on Saturday 2 May in Ligue 1.
Luis Enrique put his faith in the young Senegalese player, who seized the opportunity to showcase his talent. Against Lorient on matchday 32 of the French league, Mbaye quickly put his side ahead.
The Senegalese opened the scoring in the 6th minute. Although his team eventually conceded a 2-2 draw, the 18-year-old striker ended his goal drought. The last time Ibrahim Mbaye scored in Ligue 1 was on 6 December 2025. That was against Rennes on matchday 15.
By scoring on Saturday, Mbaye netted his second league goal of the season for Paris Saint-Germain.
