"I will come back stronger than ever." Courtois remains unfazed by another injury
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has suffered a recurrence of injury and is unlikely to play again this season.
The Belgian has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee. According to preliminary information, the goalkeeper will undergo surgery.
Courtois himself remains optimistic and promises to return stronger next season.
"I'm sad about this new injury, but it's just a small setback. I will come back stronger than ever. I feel your support," said the goalkeeper, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Recall that in August of last year, Courtois suffered a serious injury - a torn cruciate ligament. As a result, the goalkeeper has been sidelined for the entire season, with Ukrainian Andriy Lunin taking his place in goal for Los Blancos.
