"I will be a Spurs man for the rest of my life.” Lloris bid an emotionally farewell to Tottenham
The legendary French goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, bid farewell to Tottenham's supporters during the break of the Spurs' match against Bournemouth (3:1).
The 37-year-old French goalkeeper is set to leave the London club in January. He's inked a contract with the MLS side, Los Angeles.
“It's time for me to say goodbye but it's goodbye from the player not from the man. I will be a Spurs man for the rest of my life.” told Lloris at the stadium.
Lloris has been part of Tottenham for over 11 years. Donning the London club's jersey, the French goalkeeper featured in 444 matches across all tournaments. He spent most of his tenure at the club as the team's captain. He moved to the Foggy Albion for €12 million from Lyon.
The goalkeeper is a true legend for the French national team, where he concluded his appearances a year ago. He played 145 matches for Les Bleus, setting a record. Together with the national squad, he became a World Cup champion in 2018.
