On September 4, France Football announced the 30 nominees for the 2024 Ballon d'Or, but the omission of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo shocked many. The Brazilian shared his thoughts on the matter.

Details: Ahead of Brazil's World Cup 2026 qualifier against Paraguay, Rodrygo discussed his reaction in an interview.

Quote:

"I was disappointed not to be nominated for the Ballon d'Or. I think I deserved it. I don't want to denigrate the players selected, but I think I deserved my place."

Reminder: Earlier, Rodrygo received public support from his legendary compatriot Neymar.

Last season, Rodrygo scored 17 goals and provided 9 assists in 51 matches across all competitions.

The 68th Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on October 28.
