“I truly feel for him.” Slot has spoken out about Chiesa's first few months at Liverpool
Liverpool manager Arne Slot shared his thoughts on midfielder Federico Chiesa's first few months at the Merseyside club.
Quote: "The Premier League is more intense than Serie A. Federico Chiesa is struggling to reach our level. Of course, it's a real shame that he hasn't been able to participate much in training. I truly feel for him, but with a long-term contract in place, we continue to hope that he will make a significant impact once he's fully fit," Slot said.
Reminder: The former Juventus winger signed a contract with Liverpool until June 2028.
Chiesa made his debut for the Reds in September when they secured a 3-1 victory over AC Milan at the San Siro in the Champions League. So far, he has made just three appearances, providing one assist for his new team.
Chiesa missed Liverpool's last three matches due to an undisclosed injury and will also be unavailable for today's Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.
