Basketball player Jayson Tatum shared a story about how LeBron James once refused to give him an autograph, as reported by NBACentral.

Tatum recounted that it happened a long time ago, when he was 11 years old.

“Crazy, LeBron turned me down. I need to tell him this story... He didn’t say no directly, but he kind of did. It was a long time ago in Memphis. Larry Hughes is my dad’s best friend. They played together for the Cavaliers.

My mom took me to a game in Memphis, and I wanted to meet LeBron. I wanted to take a picture with him and get an autograph.

There were a lot of people around, and he said, ‘I gotta go. I need to leave.’ And I started crying in the car,” Tatum said.

LeBron heard this story and responded, “Is that why you scored on me in the conference finals?” (laughs).

Recently, it was reported that this upcoming Olympics might be LeBron’s last in his career. He announced that he would not participate in the 2028 Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles.
