The football business is no easy game.
Details: According to Futbol de Inglaterra, in a recent interview, 49-year-old American actor Ryan Reynolds, who is currently the owner of football club Wrexham, confessed that being at the helm of a team is extremely challenging—and he sometimes regrets taking on the job.
Reynolds purchased Wrexham in February 2021 alongside his friend Rob McElhenney for $2.5 million and has since managed to build a truly successful project:
"Football is a legal poison and a hellish journey. Owning a club is emotionally draining, financially foolish, and absolutely thrilling.
I'm obsessed with Wrexham, though part of me regrets getting involved." Reynolds admitted.
Under the leadership of Reynolds and McElhenney, Wrexham has gone from a fifth-division English underdog to a contender for Premier League promotion. At the moment, Wrexham sits seventh in the Championship, with 48 points from 32 rounds.
