Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has commented on the possibility of returning to the German national team.
Details: In an interview with Sky, the legendary shot-stopper spoke about the prospect of a national team comeback and explained when he intends to make a decision regarding his future at Bayern.
The 38-year-old keeper made his position on the national team abundantly clear:
"I left the national team consciously."
For Neuer, the main intrigue now lies in his club career in Munich. The veteran goalkeeper is not yet ready to make a definitive statement about his plans for next season. He emphasized that his decision will depend on how he feels and the form he manages to hit in the coming months.
"It matters how I feel in the second half of the season," Neuer stated.
The final clarity regarding his future at Bayern, he says, will come in spring.
"Around March, during the international break, I’ll need to think about how things should unfold next. I’m curious myself," Neuer added.
This season, the Bayern veteran has featured in seventeen matches for the Munich club, keeping seven clean sheets.
Reminder: Bayern have no intention of triggering Jackson's buyout clause from Chelsea.
