"I Know Pep Likes My Football": Bruno Guimarães Comments on Manchester City Transfer Rumors

Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães has long attracted attention from top clubs, including Manchester City. However, the Brazilian takes the media speculation with caution.

Details: Guimarães acknowledged that he is aware Pep Guardiola admires his style of play, but he emphasized the honor he feels as Newcastle's captain and his commitment to the club.

Quote: "I’m the captain of Newcastle, and if you’d asked me three years ago, my biggest dream would have been to play in the Premier League. Playing, being an idol, being a captain—it’s amazing. I really love Newcastle.

Of course, Manchester City’s interest shows that I’m performing at a high level, but it was no more than interest. I know Pep likes my football, and it’s normal for great coaches to admire your game. We talked once—I praised his work, and he praised mine—but that was it," Guimarães told Sky Sports.

Reminder: Recently, another Newcastle star, Alexander Isak, also had to address rumors about interest from another top Premier League club.
