World No. 1 Jannik Sinner shared his thoughts on the record-breaking prize money he received for winning the Six Kings Slam.

Details: The Italian tennis star emphasized that money is not his main motivation in tennis.

Quote: "I don't play for money, it's very simple. Sure, 6 million is a lot of prize money, but I went to Riyadh because there were probably the six best players in the world, and you can measure yourself against them. It was also a beautiful event, it was my first time in Riyadh and it was very enjoyable. When you return as a winner, for me it was more like: 'okay, I played the matches correctly and hopefully this can help me improve as a player in the future.' Of course, money is important, but not that much. I live a good life even without that money. It is much more important the health I have, the family I have, and being surrounded by the right people. Money is just an extra." quotes Sinner Punto de Break.

Reminder: Sinner earned $6 million for his victory at the exhibition tournament in Riyadh, while other participants took home at least $1.5 million each.

Notably, the world’s top-ranked player recently revealed how many more years he plans to continue his tennis career.
