Legendary Swedish coach Sven-Goran Eriksson shared his emotions from the match between Liverpool and Ajax legends, in which he led the Merseyside team.

Eriksson had previously expressed his desire to become the head coach of Liverpool after learning about his terminal illness. This opportunity was granted to the 76-year-old coach as part of a charitable event.

“That will be a huge memory in life – absolutely beautiful. I cried, it was beautiful. To sit on the bench for Liverpool was the dream all my life and now it has happened. It was a beautiful day in every sense. Thank you to Liverpool for giving me this opportunity,” Eriksson said.

It's worth noting that Eriksson is suffering from an incurable form of cancer. According to the coach, he has no more than a year left to live.
