"I always thought he was a reasonable guy". Pioli speaks out about Tonali's disqualification
Milan head coach Stefano Pioli spoke to reporters about the disqualification of Italy national team player Sandro Tonali.
As you know, the Newcastle player, who had previously played for Milan, was punished for betting on sporting events.
According to Pioli, he knew nothing about the footballer’s problems.
"I always thought he was a sensible guy. It's not often that I get to know what my players are doing off the pitch. Would I sympathize with his club? They did a good deal, but no one expected him to get suspended.
I believe that Tonali can return to the level he played at. For him, this bitter experience may be beneficial", - Pioli was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
It is reasonable to mention that the Italian managed to play 12 matches for the English in all tournaments, in which he scored one goal.
