Hugo Broos sounds confident ahead of Bafana Bafana World Cup opening match against Mexico

Hugo Broos' confidence in his intel on Mexico knows no bounds.

Broos said he is aware of what to expect at the Azteca Stadium on Thursday when they face the Mexicans in the World Cup opening match which is expected to be a humdinger of a match.

“We know the opponents that we will face on Thursday and the next days will be focused on that,” said Broos, per Mahlatse Mphahlele.

“We will work on how we will play when they have the ball and what we are going to do when we have the ball.

“And these are the last details we have to work on Tuesday and Wednesday, it’s matchday minus one, we don’t do much.

“But these days, everything will be focused on that game and on the qualities and weaknesses of Mexico – where can we be dangerous and hurt them. This is the work we are going to do this week.”

The match starts at 9pm South African time.
