Hugo Broos sets two targets for Bafana Bafana even though it's not clear if he will remain as coach or not
There are two target South Africa should set themselves for after this World Cup.
Firstly, the first targets is to ensure qualification for all major football tournament and the second one would be to win the Africa Cup of Nations.
Actually, the recent World Cup exit is a foundation the national team can build its next success on.
This is according to Hugo Broos, who under him Bafana were knocked out in the World Cup last-32 by Canada.
“I think for a country like South Africa, it’s very important to be in all important tournaments, whether it’s AFCON or World Cup. Now, I think with the experience we have from that World Cup, I think we can become better," said Broos.
“Certainly, it will play a more important at AFCON, winning AFCON should be the next goal.
“And also, being in the 2030 FIFA World Cup, I think if South Africa can achieve that in the next three, four years, you’ll see where they will be.”
It's still not clear if whether Broos will stay on as the Bafana coach as talks are expected to take place soon but it does look like he will be let go by Safa.
