Hugo Broos reveals Helman Mkhalele is not interested in Bafana Bafana job without him

Judging from Hugo Broos' assertions on Helman Mkhalele, the former assistant coach will not work with the new Bafana Bafana coach.

Broos has indicated that Mkhalele was only interested in continuing working at Safa on condition he is still the coach.

Now that the Belgian gaffer has left the post, it also means Mkhalele will be lost to the position he held since Broos arrived five years ago.

"I underestimated it. The closer the end came, the more people asked me not to stop. There are people who have now lost their jobs because I'm no longer continuing. My driver, for example, people drive like cowboys in South Africa," said Broos on Het Niewsblad, a Belgian publication.

"My assistant coach, Helman Mkhalele, too. He didn't want to stay without me. My wife knows Helman and felt sorry for him too. 'If you can stay for another year in a different role, with Helman as coach, then do it.'"
