Hugo Broos on Ime Okon and Khulumani Ndamane piring: I think they did very well in this game especially Okon because it was his first game under me
Khulumani Ndamane and Ime Okon have left an impression on Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.
The two players put in a good shift on Friday night when Bafana drew 1-1 against Panama in a friendly international at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Broos had nothing but praise for the defensive duo.
“The whole team played a very good game, including Ndamane and Okon – with Ndamane he’s played a few, but for Okon it was his first under me, I think both players in central defence are good,” Broos said after the match.
“Ndamane has several very good passes in the second half, he put players nearly alone in front of goal, and this is something I wanted to see, I wanted to see Ndamane determined, concentrated and focused on the game and he showed he can do that, I’m very happy.”
Bafana face Panama on Tuesday evening in the last friendly in this ongoing Fifa break and Broos’ troops will host their counterparts at Cape Town Stadium.
