Hugo Broos on Bafana Bafana's Relebehole Mofokeng move to Belgium

Hugo Broos has weighed in on the news of Relebohile Mofokeng's move to Belgium form Orlando Pirates.

The Betway Premiership champions announced today that the 21-year-old is on his way to Belgium, where he will play for St Gilloise, subject to personal terms and medical examination.

Broos was with the player at the World Cup as South Africa lost 1-0 to Canada in the last-32.

The Bafana coach, a Belgian native, said the player will become better in the Western Europe state as a player and he just need to be patient.

“I think it’s a good thing for him, and he will progress, but we mustn’t expect that he will play from the first day,” Broos said, as per SABC Sport.

“I think he will progress, but Rele must be stronger, it’s a very tough competition in Belgium, and in the first five to six months they will work a lot on his physical strength.

“He’s a talented player, and once you have the power you need for such a competition, there will be no problem at all.”
