Hugo Broos impressed with Sebelebele, Maseko and Makhanya in Bafana Bafana's friendly match

Thapelo Maseko, Kamogelo Sebelebele and Olwethu Makhanya have one thing in common.

The three players impressed Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos last nm night against Nicaragua.

“Some of the new players, some for the first time with us – I think Sebelebele, Makhanya did well – also Maseko in the second half and the few others. It shows the deserved to be chosen, deserve to be with the team. It gives us more opportunities for next week and the World Cup,” said Broos after the match.

Broos and his Bafana Bafana players are in their final preparations for the World Cup and last night was no exception as the coach continued to measure the strength of his troops.

Maseko, Sebelebele and Makhanya stood out for him in a game he flatly described as negative given that the Central American side were defensive in their approach to the game played at Orlando Stadium.

“That was not the goal today for us; we’d like to have a good opponent who tries to play football, and that was not the case today. So a little bit disappointed about the opponent – but I’m happy with the performance of my team," he added.

Bafana are now preparing for the June 5 friendly match against Jamaica which will be their last match ahead of the opening match against Mexico six days later.
