Hugo Broos encourages Bafana Bafana players to ignore the noise when they enter Azteca Stadium against Mexico on Thursday

Hugo Broos is aware of what await Bafana Bafana at the Azteca Stadium on Thursday in the World Cup opening match.

Scream, shouts and ululation from the Mexican fans as the home side will face South Africa in the global spectacle's opening game.

And Broos admitted Bafana players are novice to such an experience but still believes this is not something they cannot overcome.

"You know, it will be a special and fantastic experience for us because my players have never played in this kind of situation before,” said Broos as per Safa website.

“So it will be very important for us to stick to the game plan and not listen to what is happening in the stands. We all know that there will be thousands of Mexicans inside the stadium and maybe a few South Africans.”

It is expected to be one-sided game to be dominated by the home side who beat Serbia 5-1 last Friday.

But Broos seems to trust his troops.
The match will start at 9pm South African time.
