Hugo Broos earmarked for a year long contract extension as Bafana Bafana coach

Hugo Broos looks set to remain as Bafana Bafana coach until next year's Africa Cup of Nations.

Broos' deal with Bafana has expired but Safa are said to be keen on retaining him for another year which would be until the next Afcon next year.

Safa are divided ono the issue as they have also began an undertaking of replacing the Belgian coach who is currently back home in Belgium.

Broos told media outlets in his native that he will be back in South Africa this week to conclude talks with Safa pertaining to a role he is to be handed by the association.

Actually, Broos had said he is no longer the Bafana coach but Safa came out to refute those claims.

It will be interesting to see what will be the outcome of those talks but Safa are said to be hoping to hand him another year in charge of Bafana.
