Hrgovic threatens to conquer Dubois, Joshua, and the winner of the Usyk-Fury rematch successively
The mandatory contender for the IBF title, Filip Hrgovic, has voiced his ambitious plans.
The undefeated Croatian intends to defeat Daniel Dubois, after which he aims to triumph over Anthony Joshua and the winner of the Usyk-Fury rematch.
"I think I'm faster than Dubois, I'm a more experienced puncher, I have a better boxing IQ, and more experience. There are many advantages. But he's a good boxer, has decent punching power, has knocked out many opponents, so I need to be vigilant. It will be a good fight.
Hopefully, this will be my year. I'll defeat Dubois, then Joshua at Wembley, and then I'll win against the winner of the Usyk-Fury rematch. After that, I'll retire on top. That's the plan," said Hrgovic to Boxing News.
Hrgovic will face Dubois on June 1st in Saudi Arabia. The bout will take place on the undercard of the undisputed light heavyweight fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev as part of the Matchroom-Queensbury 5 vs. 5 tournament.
Earlier, Dubois promised to retire the undefeated Croatian.
In December of last year, the Croatian boxer secured a technical knockout victory in the first round against Australian Mark de Mori.
