Daniel Dubois shared his expectations for the upcoming fight against the undefeated Croatian boxer Filip Hrgovic.

Dubois recalled his sparring session with Hrgovic and then promised to retire the Olympic bronze medalist.

“It was a hard spar. ‘This kid [Hrgovic] was f****** tough. That’s sparring, it’s irrelevant, really. Let’s go. I'm ready for a fight.

If he’s going to retire, let him retire. I’ll retire him. I did a job on [Jarrell] ‘Big Baby’ [Miller], and now I have to do a job on him [Hrgovic]. On paper, it’s a harder fight [than Miller], but in reality, with what I can do when I get in there, I can make it an easier fight for myself just by being on form. I need to be on form and stay in the right mind.” Dubois said at the press conference.

Dubois and Hrgovic will face off on June 1st in Saudi Arabia. The fight will take place on the undercard of the undisputed light heavyweight bout between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev as part of the Matchroom - Queensbury 5 on 5 tournament.
