Newcastle has recently become a major force in English football, inevitably catching the eye of top clubs eager to lure away the team's key players. But Eddie Howe is far from pleased with all this attention.
Details: The Newcastle head coach admitted he is frustrated by constant reports linking his players with moves elsewhere. Howe wishes he could focus more on the idea that his squad will continue to develop within his own team.
Quote: “It’s frustrating because I don’t understand why our players are constantly being linked with other clubs here and there. I’d like to think the players are happy here.
I’d like to think they can see how we are growing and developing into a team that, hopefully, can compete at the very top level. We have no divine right to that, but I believe we’re heading in the right direction, so yes, it’s a source of frustration. But I won’t let it consume me,” Howe stated.
Reminder: Earlier reports suggested that due to the need to make sales, Howe might be forced to consider parting ways with Anthony Gordon.
