In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Liverpool thrashed Galatasaray 4–0 at Anfield to secure progression. However, beyond the result, the Turkish side lost two of their attacking players.
Details: As Galatasaray reported after the match, Victor Osimhen underwent an examination at half-time, where a fracture in his arm was suspected.
It was later confirmed post-match that he had indeed suffered a fracture of the right forearm. Osimhen’s arm has been placed in a cast, and a decision regarding a possible operation will be made.
Noa Lang sustained a serious laceration to his right thumb and was set to undergo immediate surgery in Liverpool following the match.
We previously reported that the injury led to a partial amputation. However, there has been no official confirmation at this time.
Reminder: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah made history in the UEFA Champions League.
