Earlier this year, Houston Rockets General Manager Rafael Stone signed a new contract with the club, as reported by ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski.

Club owner Tilman Fertitta decided to extend the cooperation with the manager. The decision was prompted by Stone and his team's series of organizational successes, including draft moves, the development of young players (Alperen Sengun, Jalen Green, Usman Garuba), free-agent signings (Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks), and the appointment of a new coach (Ime Udoka).

The arrival of the new coach had a significant impact on the team's development. Before Udoka's appointment, the team had 22 victories, but afterward, it increased to 41. This progress occurred while playing with six players aged 22 or younger - all of whom either started or contributed significantly in the past season. In this season, the team finished 11th in the Western Conference with a record of 41-41.

The U.S. basketball team has finalized its roster of 12 players for the 2024 Olympic Games.
