A horrible tragedy has struck the family of PSG captain Marquinhos — his wife, Carol Cabrino, announced on her Instagram page that she suffered a miscarriage.
Carol revealed that her baby stopped developing, leading to the miscarriage. It should be noted that Cabrino was nine weeks pregnant.
"I know many people who have gone through this situation. I never thought it would happen to me. It's an inexplicable pain. I'm going through a period of mourning," Carol shared.
She also admitted that she had to break the terrible news to her husband when he wasn't even nearby. As a reminder, Marquinhos is currently in South America, where he flew to play for the Brazilian national team. In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Brazil defeated Colombia 2-1 and lost 4-1 to Argentina.
Cabrino also stated that she is now trying to recover and restore her psychological state after the tragedy.
It is worth noting that Marquinhos and Carol are raising three children: 7-year-old Eduarda, 5-year-old Enrico, and 2-year-old Marina.
