Homecoming on the cards? River Plate set sights on Simeone

Argentine giants River Plate are plotting a blockbuster signing in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, River Plate have made Torino striker Giovanni Simeone their top transfer target. The son of legendary Diego Simeone could be set for a return to his boyhood club, where he began his professional career.

Reports suggest that Coudet has identified Simeone as the key piece to strengthen River’s attack. The coach is convinced that Giovanni’s European experience and competitive spirit can help restore the team’s dominance.

The 30-year-old forward has already netted 7 goals and provided one assist in Serie A for the Turin club this season. His ability to battle in the box and instinct for goal have caught the eye of River Plate’s new head coach, Eduardo Coudet.
