The political rivalry between the US and Canada escalated to a new level immediately following the final of the hockey tournament at the 2026 Olympics.
Details: As soon as Team USA clinched the gold in overtime (2-1), the official White House social media account posted a message in which Donald Trump's administration poked fun at the former Canadian Prime Minister.
The Trump administration shared an image featuring a bald eagle (the symbol of the US) dominating a Canadian goose on the ice. The highlight of the post was a screenshot of Trudeau's message from the previous year, in which the Canadian Prime Minister confidently declared: "You can't take our country — and you can't take our game."
Reminder: Team USA won the Olympic hockey tournament for the third time in history.
