Bologna striker Joshua Zikrzee has been linked with one club or another in recent times and now reports of interest from Manchester United have emerged, something Thiago Motta's side are ready to capitalise on.

Bologna remembers the transfer of Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta to Manchester United last summer for 73 million euros, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is this transfer that the Italian club consider as a benchmark when evaluating their 22-year-old forward.

The reasoning is quite simple: Zirkzee is roughly the same age as the Dane and has roughly the same goalscoring figures as Høylund did during his time at Atalanta.

For now, the top spot for the Dutchman is the €40 million Bayern could pay in the summer, which seems an unlikely option at the moment.
