The Manchester City midfielder has etched his name into both his country’s and the Premier League’s history books.
Details: Today, the official English Premier League page on social network X announced that the 26-year-old Ghanaian international and Manchester City winger, Antoine Semenyo, has officially been named the Premier League Player of the Month for February.
In February, Semenyo featured in five matches for the Citizens, netting three goals and providing one assist. Although he only joined Guardiola’s squad this winter, Semenyo has already established himself as a true attacking leader.
But this isn’t Semenyo’s only achievement. Thanks to this award, Antoine has become just the third Ghanaian international ever to claim this Premier League honor—and only the second to do it in the 21st century!
Previously, Tony Yeboah won the accolade twice, in March and September 1995, and André Ayew claimed it in August 2015.
Reminder: Atlético Madrid ready to launch pursuit of Jérémy Doku. Belgian winger could leave the Etihad this summer
