“Historic night”. Declan Rice reacts to Arsenal's advance to the Champions League semi-final
London Arsenal star Declan Rice reacted emotionally to his club's advance to the Champions League semi-final. The Gunners' midfielder posted a post-match photo on his Instagram page from Santiago Bernabéu.
Rice shared a picture with the UEFA Man of the Match award and captioned it, “Historic night for this club.”
This is indeed a significant moment for Arsenal, as they not only advanced to the next stage of the premier European competition but also managed to defeat Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu.
After a nightmare 3-0 loss in the first leg, the Spaniards were gearing up for a comeback. Vinicius, Bellingham, and Mbappé spoke about it, urging fans not to lose hope and to support the team. However, it all ended with no chance for Madrid. Not only did they fail to achieve the required result, but in the final minutes, Real conceded a second goal, leading to a defeat on their home turf.
It should be noted that Arsenal will face PSG in the semi-final, who managed to overcome another English club, Aston Villa, in a tough contest.
